Most of the inspiration for my style comes from what I see other people wearing on blogs that I follow or from clothes that my friends wear(specifically Dylan) or from a few idols of mine from the generation that made Hollywood cool.On the subject of blogs, a friend of mine showed me this blog Backyard Bill and it's been a bit of a gold mine. There's lots of dudes with beat to hell jeans, wicked beards and some gorgeous looking Red Wings. This one guy named Simon caught my eye in particular.

This bike is beautiful. If I lived in a town that was flat I would totally want to buy this. Hopefully wherever I move after college will be flat enough for me to ride around on this thing of beauty.
Freeman Transport is a small company based out of Montana and all the bikes are hand-made in the USA.
Here's what their website has to say about the "Gravel Racer":
"Nathaniel's great-great-grandfather was an inventor during the Industrial Revolution. His contributions include many but perhaps most controversial - the sights for the Colt .45.In his honor we've built a bicycle with a finish similar to that gun, richly patinaed with gun bluing and ferric browns, sealed with tree wax and ready to age. It comes with or without couplings, stainless steel lugged rack, chain guard and fenders, and can be built fixed or coaster braked and is perfect for commuting or general transport."

Gant has been blowing up on a lot of blogs lately for their new F/W collection and some of it seems pretty dope. BUT how can you get into some clothes that have a dude playing lacrosse on them. Ruins it for me. I prefer their RUGGER line which is a little more my taste.
Also here's a short film lookbook that Gant put out for their S/S '11 line. Definitely, feeding off the Mad Men vibe.
